It’s My Wife’s

It’s My Wife’s

This evening, on my way home from some sport practice with my daughter, I had to stop at a petrol station to fill up. We have a specific station close to our house where we always go, and one of the petrol attendants looks a bit different from the rest. Over the last couple of months, I have noticed him as being constantly friendly and helpful.

Tonight I felt moved by his positive attitude towards what is a very humble and dangerous occupation. I thought about how we’ve spend a weekend, driving around for my daughter’s recreational activities, costing us more than probably his whole month’s salary. I decided to give him a sizable tip to say thank you, but also to give him some hope. It can’t be easy to keep your life together on a service station salary.

I slipped the note into his hand underneath the receipt with the words: “there is something for you”. He laughed and he said: “thanks, but it is not for me, it’s for my wife”. I couldn’t help but smile! If that doesn’t show this man’s heart even more, I don’t know! He could have done many things with that money, he could have easily saved it for himself. Yet, his first reaction is that it will give it to his wife. How much beauty, trust, joy, pride and genuine goodness can be in one statement!

He is man enough to do what it takes to keep his family fed. He is man enough to know that whatever resources he gets (attracts), will be received by his queen. She will give it shape and form (turn it into something) and, because on a basic level, he understands the flow of creation, she will probably multiply that note for their family.

There is SO much magick around us – if we will only allow ourselves to SEE! And trust me, whatever you think you can see, there is a whole WORLD beyond that vision to explore!

Love and Moonlight,

Leonie
