The Use of Intuition

The Use of Intuition

Something that people in the modern age is not cognisant of, is the power and the practical use of intuition. There are two things I try to teach my children relentlessly:

  1. Follow (develop) your intuition. It is your super power. Your intuition will serve you where no academic facts can help you.
  2. Flexibility (adaptability) is the flex of the future. If you can not adapt or change or adjust to your circumstances, you will stagnate.

Anything else, the world can teach them and it probably will present plenty opportunities for them to grow.

Earlier today, my daughter got into the car with the surprise announcement: “I bought a packet of figure cards!” (I can’t name the brand but it’s the one where kids exchange figures, sometimes even sell). Both me and my sun were quite surprised, as he is normally the one who nags me for these cards (his sister is a teenager she nags about clothes!). She clarified her decision by saying: “I just had a good feeling about this one pack I picked up”. And she was right! She purchased a pack with a special card inside and she could sell it for 4 times what she bought the pack for!

This impressed me a lot, because her and I have often had discussions about her gut feel and how accurate it it. Just the other day she got us out of a secret escape room (the ones where you get clues to help you escape in a specific time), by guessing the last combination codes! There was no way we could win it as the company accidentally didn’t provide us with all the clues in the room when we entered. They left one laminated card out so we couldn’t decipher the code! She still went on her gut and the first combination she slotted in worked! We escaped with less than 15 minutes to spare thanks to her gut feeling!

I have many examples of this with her, and I always make a very big point out of congratulating her and acknowledging her for how correct her gut feel is – because truth be told, as a child I was not necessarily told to follow my gut. Adults just didn’t think that way in my time. But if I look back at my life, the best decisions I made 100% following my gut. My choice of husband, when to have children, the houses I bought, my career, my art, my studies – you name it. And I still don’t regret any of those. They were the “big” decisions of life! Being able to tap deep into that internal resource of myself has served me well on all the most important decisions of my life. Has my gut always been correct on the smaller things? Absolutely not! But on the big things? There is not much that I regret if I’m honest.

In the future it will become more and more difficult to discern between what is real and what is fake. At the end of the day all our children will have is their gut to go on. When they can not come to us to ask, or there really is not much information available on the matter, all they can do is follow their gut. Things are also different for different people because of soul contracts, so what is right for my daughter, might not be right for someone else. That is why it is so important for us to press into our own inner resource and to follow our intuition on the matter. I really believe that is how the person of the future will achieve success.

In fact, for many of today’s successful people, they broke away from the current status quo of their society and circumstances by following their gut (or intuition!). It’s always been a super power! But somehow with a science obsessed society, people started to look down on the power of personal intuition as something that is corruptible and open for human error. But that is a very limited and two dimensional world view. We know in fact reality extends that.

Intuition is going to be the biggest asset when future humans have to choose between options, what to include and exclude in our life (information, people, choices, environments etc). What to accept and what to reject. My biggest recommendation for anyone on the planet right now would be to work on developing your intuition. We have really great tools or methods in The Modern Mystery School – techniques that were used over centuries (unchanged) to help humans tap into that super human power that exists inside us!

Love and Moonlight,

Leonie
