My Search Into Spirituality

Early on in my journey of seeking answers about life, it led me to spirit — the human and Godly divine spirit we all carry inside. Through intense studies and research, I found complexities in religious offerings, that I found challenging to reconcile. A wider variety of perspectives, left me seeking for a more unified understanding of reality. I was seeking a path of individual empowerment that went beyond dogma – a way to understand universal laws that felt both tangible and tested. My initial steps were rooted in a deep love for the divine, but as my journey evolved, I felt the calling for a more structured framework that could help me bridge my spiritual insights with practical, everyday reality.

I carry a deep respect for the wisdom of figures like Jesus and Buddha; my goal was simply to find a more comprehensive context for how their timeless teachings relate to the bigger picture of universal laws and our world today. I found it very difficult to find information that I felt was whole, or that gave me the bigger picture of life and the reason for our existence in the first place. I wanted to access knowledge and information about how the Universe truly worked, and I wanted to understand how I related to it (if at all). I instinctively knew, it wasn’t something that could just be open to personal interpretation — there had to be a common ground or a collective of universal laws to keep reality in place.

How I knew, that I had found that information, was when I started to work in harmony with it, and it yielded consistent results.

INITIAL YEARS OF STUDY

Spirituality was not a popular a theme when I was taking my first wobbly steps, it was about as taboo as talking about politics at a family barbeque! Luckily, it has become a lot more openly discussed topic in recent times. The world seems ready to ask bigger questions, and to receive more comprehensive answers. It is my observation that people are ready for answers, and to pursue the direction and clarity it brings, to fulfill their life’s purpose here on earth.

I was incredibly lucky to be introduced to a “spiritual university” in the likes of The Modern Mystery School. A friend (who had a legal practice at the time), told me about their metaphysical teachings and tools. She was incredibly intelligent and sought to bring justice in the world. We had many lengthy conversations and exchanges before we would, ironically, both eventually trade our corporate careers to pursue this one higher calling: guiding people towards their own personal empowerment. I remember I used to be very frustrated with secular offerings available in the workplace market and what she spoke about, just made sense to me! We took a deep dive into the teachings about the potential which remains hidden inside each human beings. We qualified ourselves as teachers in this ancient lineage — a decision that I to this day, don’t regret.

Over the years, I have seen profound results from the tools and healings offered on this path. In my 15 years of study, I’ve had the amazing privilege to be mentored under the careful guidance of Master Teachers and people who have a genuine heart to see humanity move forward and evolve — not only spiritually, but physically and emotionally too. Ancient mystery schools have a very interesting history and structure. Traditionally, people from the public could not knock on the door of a mystery school and ask to study at the establishment — think “Dr. Strange” from the well-known movie. Even when the surgeon knew the location of the mystery school, he could only gain entrance to further studies through immense persistence. It wasn’t easy for him to get in, and even then, it was up to him to unearth and fulfil his own potential.

Today we are in a different time, with a different mission on the planet. It is now within the reach of the average man or woman on the street (like you and me) to achieve a state of true knowledge and understanding of ourselves. And, think about it — if we understand ourselves better, we’re able to get on with other people better! Our relationships improve across the board. For some people, toxic and expired relationships come to an end, so that they can start to have new, healthier ones with people they are truly contracted to in this life.

A benefit of studying at a mystery school is that the journey to “know thyself” is made profoundly faster when you walk on an authentic spiritual path like the ancients. You don’t have to renounce your life completely, or go off to live in a monastery and meditate all day, to achieve spiritual enlightenment. You really can become the best version of you by walking in the footsteps of ancient Masters on the planet, while fully engaged in your everyday, modern life. You can have a career, spend time with your friends, children and partner, you can be creative, you can travel, you can watch sport — all the things we’ve come to enjoy and appreciate in the world.

It just so happens that some of these true, authentic, ancient mystery schools have permission to keep their doors open for the public (and seekers) to access higher-level teachings which were previously only available to royalty, clergy and nobleman.

The Modern Mystery School

The Modern Mystery School is the authentic mystery school that represents the Lineage of King Salomon on the planet today.

The school holds the true knowledge and keys from ancient times. It now allows people like you and me to come and study the old creed of “Know Thyself” by exploring the deeper wisdom, knowledge and tools handed down from teacher to student since ancient times.

The school was founded and managed for many years by a phenomenal seeker, teacher and visionary leader, Founder Gudni Gudnason. In later years he was joined by the other two members of The Third Order, Sovereign Ipsissimus Dave Lanyon and Sovereign Ipsissimus Hideto. These three gentlemen, tasked with the expansion and day-to-day governance of the school and related matters, have grown The Modern Mystery School to operate in 55 countries across 7 continents, with the initiate base growing daily — quite the task, considering mystery schools never previously had to deal with public administration and related matters.

The keys of this lineage are currently held directly through three initiates: Ipsissimus Gudni GED Gudnason, Founder of the Modern Mystery School, Ipsissimus Dave THOR Lanyon, and Ipsissimus Hideto REI Nakagome. Together they are considered The Third Order, a traditional naming for key members of the lineage — and even the origin and meaning of that traditional naming is incredibly interesting.

It is important in any leadership structure to keep a balance between male and female energy, and as such, the Council of 12 was established. The Council, key on all levels to the smooth running and growth of The Modern Mystery School, was appointed to further strengthen the governance of this ever-expanding organisation.

The Council of 12 has 6 members in the Eastern World and 6 members in the Western World. The title held by these ladies is “Divina,” reflecting the divine nature of their dedication and service to people.

There is a lot that current leadership structures in the world can learn from having a more balanced approach between male and female representation — and not only that, from serving with a selfless heart.
